Christmas Light Installation Pricing & Payment
What it costs, how you pay and what is included.
How much does Christmas light installation cost in New Jersey?
Midas packages start at $950. A good starting budget is about half your home's square footage, since larger homes need more lighting. Every package includes design, installation, maintenance, removal and storage. See Christmas light installation for package details.
Do I need to purchase the lights?
No. Midas is full service: we supply the lights, install them, maintain them all season, remove them and store them.
Is there financing available?
Most projects are split into two payments, 50% due July 1 and the balance due October 1. If you need more installments, ask and we will set them up.
Can I change the lighting design from year to year?
Yes. Most design changes cost nothing. Some changes may carry a charge, and we work to keep those manageable.
Do I need any special insurance?
No. Midas is fully insured, so you do not need any special coverage to have us on your roof.
02 · Scheduling
Installation & Takedown Dates
When we come out, what happens on install day and when the lights come down.
When do you put the lights up?
Installations begin the last week of September. Diwali customers are scheduled first, followed by Christmas installs. See Diwali lighting.
When do you take the lights down?
Takedowns start January 2 unless you request otherwise. If you celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, we can remove your lights after January 6 on request.
Do I need to be home for the installation?
No. Our installer follows your design diagram. Just keep the driveway clear for our trucks and ladders.
How does the custom design process work?
It starts with a free consultation about your style, budget and layout. We build a tailored plan with 3D renderings, and you approve every detail before anything is installed.
How do removal and storage work?
After the season, our team schedules a visit to take everything down and inspects each item for wear. All lights are stored in our climate-controlled warehouse for your home next year.

Our LED Christmas Lights & Service
The LEDs we use, what happens if something goes out and how we stand behind the work.
What are the benefits of your premium LED lights?
Our commercial grade LEDs are rated for up to 50,000 hours and keep their color. They are energy efficient, weatherproof and mercury free, with optional timers and color settings.
Can you use my own lights?
No. For liability reasons we only install our own commercial grade lighting.
What happens if lights fail or fall?
We take full responsibility for the installation. Send us a photo of the problem, even if it is a single bulb, and we fix it.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?
Yes. Every holiday lighting installation comes with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, including full-season maintenance, prompt service calls and repairs for any failed lights or decorations.
What are the design options?
Every display is unique, and the options are limited only by your imagination and budget. Rooflines, trees, bushes, columns, walkways and ground lights, in warm white, color or both.
